Fresh, Layered and Luscious – At Bloesem Mount Maunganui 

Bloesem requested a large cluster of trees to break up the dining area from the play space, with the overall effect to be varied, but cohesive. To achieve this, we selected huge white concrete planters in various shapes and sizes to work with the soft, neutral aesthetic of the interior.

The planters were filled with a curated selection of mature indoor trees sourced from various growers across the North Island. While some of the trees were underplanted with hen and chicken ferns, others have vibrant green moss covering the base of each tree to replicate the look and texture of soft grass.

The overall effect is modern, fresh, and enticing, with the plants adding natural vibrancy to the space. As Bloesem are on our long-term hire programme, we enjoy regular visits to care for and water the plants and can see the lucky children enjoying the beautiful, calm environment that the centre provides.
